Origins, History and influence of Venice Architectural Biennal

Every two years Le Corderie and Giardini in Venice host the Architectural Biennal. Since 1980, each single Biennal has presented a very different exposition project, the personal view of its curator. Both recognized architects and historians have been appointed to capture the contemporary position of architecture, creating very different results. The talk will consider how every Biennal is not only a documentation tool and knowledge project, but also an emotional experience.
