Cyndelle is a registered Architect from Ghana pursuing PhD at the University of Queensland. Her project will explore and document methods and standards used in archiving women architects. She focuses on capturing the life histories of women architects in managerial roles particularly those emerging strongly as directors of architectural practices in Queensland from 1980-2000. Married to an architect with three children, she is keen to discover the work-life balance strategies of these postmodern women architects as she records and critically interprets their educational and career pathways to produce a digital archive. The Digital Archive of Queensland Architecture (qldarch.net) hosted by ATCH will provide the platform for these digital records. From the digital archive and resulting technologies (such as the relationship tool), Cyndelle aims to create new types of histories centered on relationships and networks rather than built objects.
