The Architecture Theory Criticism History (ATCH) Research Centre in the School of Architecture at The University of Queensland, Australia, is seeking Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) candidates to commence in 2016.

Communities of Faith: Modern Church Architecture in Queensland 1950s-1970s

Supervisor: Professor John Macarthur
Scholarships are available for applicants with an outstanding academic record and demonstrated commitment to learning that are citizens of Australia or New Zealand, or permanent residents of Australia. Residency requirements for applicants outside Brisbane are open to negotiation.
Scholarships are available via a two stage process. Applicants first submit an expression of interest, and if approved by the school, are awarded a scholarship guarantee. They are then asked to apply through the usual UQ-wide scholarship process, after which they receive either a University or School scholarship. There is more on this process here.
Candidates who are interested in the topics listed above should submit the following (as one pdf document) by Friday, 9 October:
- An academic CV
- Evidence of academic results and GPA (or projected result, for current students)
- A statement (max 200 words) on why you are interested in the selected topic
- A statement (max 200 words) on why you are well suited to the selected topic
- The names and contact details of two academic referees
